Pakistani automobile industry

Pakistani automobile industry started its journey long ago. But it is not as much popular as expected. The annual production of this industry is only 170 to 200 units only. A very few models are assembled in the country. So people do not get a wide range of variety to buy their own automobile.

In spite of this poor picture, Pakistani automobile industry is the second highest tax paying sector of the country. In addition, it is also serving the employment seeker as one of the biggest employment sector of Pakistan.

Small cars are very popular here. The largest assembler of Pakistan is Paksuzuki. But they do not use the latest technology.  They even do not offer any safety features. In past few years, some other large entity of international automobile industry is planning to establish join venture in Pakistan. The automobile makers include-General Motors, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Suzuki and Nissan Motors
